Spirit Babies and Infertility: Exploring Connection While Trying to Conceive

By Lindsay Goodwin, LAc, MSOM, BS, FABORM | Integrative Reproductive Medicine Clinician | Spirit Baby Medium | The Consciousness Medium™
Can you connect with your Spirit Baby while experiencing infertility? Within my spiritual teachings, you can explore a relationship with the soul or consciousness of a future child before conception, including during a long fertility journey. That exploration may bring meaning to dreams, intuitive impressions, or the love you already feel. It does not explain a fertility diagnosis or establish when pregnancy will happen.
When you are trying to conceive, the space between longing and knowing can feel immense. You may feel a child close in a dream and then face another cycle without pregnancy. You may feel connected one day and distant the next. There is room for both the spiritual relationship you wish to explore and the questions that remain unanswered.
As a born generational intuitive medium and integrative reproductive medicine clinician, I bring these dimensions into conversation. My approach makes room for your spiritual experience alongside your physical fertility care, your emotions, and your life.
What Do Spirit Babies and Infertility Have to Do With Each Other?
A Spirit Baby is a spiritual concept: the soul or consciousness of a child with whom someone feels connected before conception, during pregnancy, or after a loss. For a fuller introduction, read my complete Spirit Baby guide.
Infertility is a medical condition. The World Health Organization describes male, female, and unexplained factors that can contribute to infertility. Exploring a spiritual relationship does not reveal which of those factors may be present.
The meeting place is your experience. You might be navigating appointments and results while also wondering about the child you feel drawn toward. You can bring those questions into spiritual reflection without asking one perspective to answer every question belonging to the other.

Why Do I Feel My Spirit Baby Around Me If I Am Not Pregnant?
You may have dreamed of holding a child, sensed a familiar presence in meditation, or felt affection for someone you have not met. Within Spirit Baby teachings, these experiences may be understood as invitations to explore connection before conception.
Begin with what you actually experienced. What did you notice? What feeling stayed with you? What meaning does it hold in your life? A dream may feel deeply personal without providing a calendar date or a physical fact about pregnancy.
In my intuitive practice, dream-time intention and automatic writing are part of how I prepare for a reading. I record images, words, and impressions before exploring them with the parents. This is my personal mediumship process; your own way of exploring connection may look very different.

Does a Longer Fertility Journey Mean My Spirit Baby Is Waiting for Me to Heal?
A long wait can invite a painful question: What am I missing? Spiritual language can become another source of pressure if it suggests that conception depends on resolving every fear, completing every healing practice, or remaining in a particular frequency.
In my approach, emotional and energetic exploration offers space to understand yourself and receive support. It is not a condition you must meet to deserve a child. Infertility is not evidence that you are spiritually unready, and a difficult day does not mean you have pushed a baby away.
You may discover meaning or transformation during this chapter of your life. You also have permission to find parts of it painful, unfair, or exhausting. Meaning can emerge in your experience without requiring an explanation that blames you for the wait.
Exploring Spirit Baby Connection During IVF
IVF can bring your attention into schedules, numbers, procedures, and decisions. You may also want room to acknowledge the relationship you imagine with a future child. A short spiritual practice can be a personal way to mark a moment within treatment.
You might write a letter before an appointment or sit quietly with an intention such as, “I welcome space for love and connection as I move through today.” You do not have to visualize a successful result or feel certain for the practice to be meaningful.
Questions about medications, embryo selection, transfer timing, and treatment remain with your fertility team. An intuitive impression cannot determine embryo viability or implantation. How to Make Space for Connection Without Adding Another Task
You may already have a full list of things to track. Choose one small invitation that feels supportive, and let it remain optional.
Write what you want to share
Begin a letter with, “Today, this is what is in my heart.” You can express love, frustration, questions, or uncertainty. There is no requirement to produce a reply. If impressions arise, record them separately from your interpretation.
Let a quiet moment be enough
Sit comfortably and notice the support beneath you. Let your breath move naturally. You might bring your attention toward your heart and the relationship you wish to explore. If no image or message appears, the moment can still belong to you.
Return to the life around you
After reflection, close your journal and return to something that nourishes your day: a conversation, a meal, music, or time outside. Your fertility journey can hold spiritual exploration alongside relationships, interests, and needs that matter now.

What If I Feel Nothing—or Need to Pause?
Some days may feel full of symbolism. Others may feel quiet. You do not need to interpret silence as rejection or measure the strength of a connection by the number of signs you notice.
If a practice leaves you searching constantly, feeling responsible for outcomes, or afraid to stop, give yourself room to pause. A pause can honor your needs. You may want conversation, grief support, rest, or simply a day without interpreting anything.
Partners can also approach this differently. One person may feel drawn toward spiritual language while another prefers practical discussion. You can share what an experience means to you without requiring someone else to interpret it the same way.
Lindsay’s Approach: Science, Spirit, and the Five Dimensions of Fertility
Through the Fertile Energy Field Method™, I explore five dimensions of fertility: physical, emotional, fertile mind, energetic, and spiritual. These are a framework for personalized support and reflection, rather than a test that identifies why someone has not conceived.
The physical dimension includes attention to your fertility history and appropriate care. The emotional dimension makes room for what you are experiencing. The fertile mind explores beliefs and inner dialogue. Energetic and spiritual dimensions offer space for the meaning, awareness, and connection you wish to explore.
Your needs may change from one stage to another. A Spirit Baby reading offers time for intuitive questions. Private fertility support offers a broader conversation about your journey and the support that fits it. You do not need to choose the same starting point as anyone else.
Questions About Spirit Babies and Infertility
Can I connect with a Spirit Baby while experiencing infertility?
Within Spirit Baby teachings, connection can be explored before conception and during a fertility journey. You might begin with a dream journal, a letter, or a quiet invitation. A spiritual experience cannot establish the cause of infertility or predict a pregnancy.
Why do I feel connected to a baby when I am not pregnant?
Some people interpret dreams, inner imagery, or a sense of recognition as a spiritual relationship with a future child. You can explore what that experience means to you without treating it as confirmation of pregnancy or a promise about timing.
Does infertility mean my Spirit Baby is waiting for me to heal?
Infertility does not establish that a soul is waiting for you to heal, raise your frequency, or become more deserving. Spiritual exploration can accompany fertility care without becoming an explanation for why conception has not happened.
Can I explore Spirit Baby connection during IVF?
Yes, if it feels meaningful to you. A brief reflection, letter, or meditation can be part of your personal spiritual practice alongside IVF. Spiritual impressions should not determine medication changes, embryo selection, transfer timing, or other treatment decisions.
What if I do not receive any Spirit Baby signs?
You do not need a sign to justify your desire for a child. You can make space for connection without monitoring every dream or coincidence. Pausing a practice is also an option if it adds pressure.
Can a Spirit Baby reading tell me when I will get pregnant?
A Spirit Baby reading explores spiritual impressions and personal questions. It cannot reliably determine whether or when pregnancy will occur, diagnose infertility, or replace medical evaluation. Lindsay offers readings as a space for intuitive exploration alongside appropriate fertility care.
