There are moments on the journey to motherhood when you may know something before you have any physical evidence to explain what you are feeling. You may begin dreaming about a baby you have never met, noticing pregnant women everywhere you go, repeatedly encountering the same name, or feeling an unexpected presence around you. Sometimes it is even simpler than that. There is no dramatic sign or message, only a quiet but persistent feeling that your baby is somehow already connected to you.

Babies seem to appear everywhere. Conversations somehow turn toward motherhood. There may be experiences you are moving through before becoming a parent. Your relationship may be changing. Your understanding of yourself may be deepening.
